You sir are a masochist. It's like taking a dead body and repeatedly beating it with a bat. Down down the rabbit hole we go. lol. This just tugs at my hearstrings.

I probably wouldn't do that for this autocross but think of the positive, extra light S2000!

Some more progress. Stayed after work yesterday and did some CAD(cardboard assisted design). Used a marker to trace the panel size I need from inside, then trimmed the cardboard and made sure it fits as I wanted it. Used that cardboard to trace the shape onto the sheet metal and used a grinder to cut it out. Once that was done, I cut the pipes and trimmed slowly to make them fit perfectly where I want them. The sheet metal above the pipe will be either cut away or folded over and welded at the bottom of the pipe.

Broke down, busted out my credit card and bought myself a welder. Needed one a long time ago, this S2000 really needs some welding done. Miller 211. Now I just need to learn.(took a AB-Tech class years ago)

10 hours of cutting, trimming, measuring, welding and hammering later, it looks like what I wanted. Happy with result, still not done.

If it's super tail happy you can toss my mega spoiler on it. I'm not using it anyway. It works okay at autox speeds.

    Thanks!

If I make it out to this Wednesday night autocross, it will be just a test. The project is far from complete, I am rushing to get it prepared to run the event. A lot to develop still. Working weekends at work and a broken truck to repair isn't helping.

Another update. Painted the added panels, also paint some bits on the front bulkhead. S2000 got some fresh oil and filter. Really starting to like the look of the rat.

Couple of changes happening before this Wednesdays autocross.

    - Front right shock was replaced because the adjustment doesn't work.
    - Tie rod ends were replaced.
    - Exhaust was chopped for more noises and weight reduction.
    - Another set of Evo X wheels were installed, tires are now not dry-rotted.

Really happy with the results of the autocross last night. At the first autocross our best time was 49.8 seconds on dry rotted tires, with better tires(not dry-rotted) we got a time of 42.8 seconds! Still more to come with the development of this car.

Had some time after work today to get the rat ready for tomorrow. A/C, a/c fan and cruise control was deleted and motor mounts where changed out for a stiffer set. Old motor mounts were torn.
