    Finally got around to the Subaru after Thanksgiving. Did the following.

    - Repaired threads for intercooler bracket, used a helical kit.
    - Continued buttoning up things under the hood.
    - Had the accelerator pedal bracket welded is.. finally.
    - Reassembled the steering column and pedal set.
    - Moved parts into a shop I now rent for my personal project cars.

    Got some more work done today. Found out that the 2002 and 2005 a/c condensers are different and tops mount in different places.

    - Installed intercooler and made sure everything fit
    - Swapped over fan shrouds from 2002 since the 2005 had broken tabs
    - Fitted and installed a/c condenser
    - Installed radiator but still need to source a fan

    Not much done today but I am happy. After trying different fittings and almost giving up(couple of weeks wasted), I installed the EGT probe. Got a fitting that didn't fit because the hole was to small but a little bit of drilling later, I was able to put everything together. Also dealing with returning parts that arrived damaged.

    Not much of an update but I am still dealing with returning some damaged parts and ordered replacements. Also, finished up some loose ends on the engine. So close to firing it up..

    Got around to testing electronics today, everything looks good so far. Can't start/crank the engine since the fluids didn't come in yet. Started to add coolant and found that I didn't connect a line under the intake manifold.. Had to pull the a/c compressor to get to the line. I had 2 gallons of coolant and for a completely drained system, it is not enough, will need to buy 2 more gallons. Next up was the braking system, went through 1.7 liters gravity and pressure bleeding the system. Doing some research how to activate the abs pump so I can bleed it too.

    Since parts didn't show up that I needed, there was not much to do. Changed the oil and filter at 49,095 miles. Hoping my other fluids will show up tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't have a day off until 31st. Really hoping to start the car in 2015.

    My goal was to start the STI by the end of this year and now I don't know.. This is one of many issues I am continuously dealing with.. People not send parts I bought, parts out of stock, parts coming in damaged and now fluids coming in with broken seals. This came in just now to my work place.

    So far what has gone wrong with parts/shipping.

    - Motul fluid came in with a broken seal, oil spilled out.
    - Replacement radiator and fans came in broken. Had to fight the seller for 2 weeks to get a refund, seller didn't even want to accept the return.
    - Called about parts I ordered Black Friday around December 20th, got a reply that parts weren't shipped and they didn't know when they would ship. Cancelled the order.
    - Parts order on Black Friday with another company showed up on December 24th.
    - Ordered a pigtail and spindle 2 weeks ago, guy shipped me some melted pigtail and tried to get more money for the spindle. I had to ship the melted pigtail I got back to him, fighting for a refund.
    - Probably something else I can't remember at this time.

    I have never had such a bad luck with ordering parts/fluids/etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On top of everything, this is what I found at the shop today.. Filled the transmission with fluid and went home, didn't want to stick around.
    Sounds like my luck with my build. Just not all at once, mine is usually a back to back thing.
    It sucks but I learned that I have to just work through all of it. The plan that I am hoping will happen is start this car before 2016. I have a day off tomorrow, who knows, I may welcome New Years working on or starting the Subaru.
    It runs!! First start video from where I hook up the battery for the first time to AccessPort tune and onto first start! No codes and car fired up right away!(I did prime the fuel pump about 7 times).
    At the beginning of the day I filled the differential with fluid and had the a/c system vacuum tested. After the first start, I bled the coolant system and charged the a/c system.
    Sounds good! Have any plans for it, other than restoring it?
    Thanks. The engine will be completely done since I added everything I wanted to it. Car will be dyno tuned hopefully by spring. There are some JDM bits I will be adding to the exterior once the car is being painted. Suspension and wheels will be stock for now. I want to drive the car first before I make a decision on which suspension and wheels I want.
    A little back story first. The bugeye had some body filler on the rear left quarter panel when I bought it. After inspecting it with some people, we came to a conclusion that the accident was minor since only the quarter panel skin was damaged. I didn't worry about it much but..
    Well.. When you think you closed a chapter of the project.. While rolling the fenders, body filler on the rear left quarter panel(macco job, found a receipt) cracked. I thought it was a good chance to redo the job since I don't trust Macco work but I was in for a surprise. There was a thick layer of bondo and in places they didn't even sand off the paint before applying the filler. A bit pissed at what I found, I headed home for the night, it is best to start this kind of a job on a clear head after some sleep. Saturday morning I decided to grind off all the filler on the quarter panel, than I had a body man pull the skin of the quarter panel out and shape it. After that I added new body filler, sanded it and added the finishing layer that I will sand later.
    Now the fun part, I decided to have a bit of fun so I bolted in the seat and took the bugeye for a spin. I am addicted to the launch and the car really moves since its so light. Loving the woosshh sounds from the stock diverter valve.
    It was a warm and sunny winter day yesterday so I sanded down the quarter panel and primered it.
    Need to finish the BMW before I can get back to this one. Can't afford running two projects at the same time.
