Bronze it is! I actually like them more myself.

    Look who ventured here!

I hope to have the car done by Boxer Takeover. It will be listed for sale after that. The goal of the project is to learn something new and enjoy the car for a bit. I want to try something different. Build a car, enjoy it for a bit, sell, repeat.

I am learning body work and paint with this car. Next car, I want to learn how to weld. If I finish this project successfully, I will buy myself a Miller 211 welder.

Did some work on the parts car today. The parts car had a Viper alarm system installed which was causing the car to have problems starting. It would sometimes not start because the alarm would freak out. I decided to pull the whole alarm system. The STI starts and runs perfectly now.

I really hope the person who installed it doesn't call himself a professional technician. Only 2 wires were soldered in. Everything else was held together with electrical tape and voodoo magic. And people think why they have electrical issues..

This is what held everything together. Second picture shows how everything was held together. No solder. Just twisted wire io wire with electrical tape.

Finally got situated with my move. I live in an apartment now, no garage. The car is in a shop I rent. Cleaned the place up today so I can start working and moved in my tool box. It is raining so no body work today. Will start taking the interior apart. Also making a list of all the things I need to buy for the project.

Finally a good day of work. Ripping everything out since it will get the hvac unit, wiring, interior, etc from the STI donor car.

A lot of work done but not much to show. Prepping the car for primer and paint. Blue door needs primer to repaint to white. Probably got another sunburn...

And continue with paint prep. Since I am changing the car color from blue to white, I will have to spray the door jams, under the hood and trunk area. Also, will need to cut out the windshield and rear glass this week. I swear I will get to the painting at some point..

Finally got some primer on the doors and hood. Still used the taping method because the painter teaching me recommended it and showed me how not to have heavy lines. I sprayed only the body filler and metal the first time. Second round I went 3-6 inches over and the final time I sprayed the whole section. The primer is laid on thinly on the sides next to the tape.

I was supposed to work on it after work today but my brothers wife got a raise and they offer me free dinner with unlimited beer... You know how that ended, Subaru lost.

That is how it usually works.

More primer today, hopefully I will get the glass out by the end of the day too. Got my Satajet 4000 today. Can't wait to start laying paint.

Didn't give up early today. Stayed late and did some more work.

    - Cut out windshield
    - Cut out rear window
    - Fixed another dent, only the trunk left to fix. The wing holes will be welded up tomorrow hopefully.
    - Engine bay cleaned and ready to be sanded.

Can't wait for April 18th, taking a weekend away from this project. Going to slay the dragon with R32 people.

Another day of new for me. Started with wet sanding the hood to prep it for paint. Then started sanding the engine bay to prep it for paint. Still trying to figure out how I will attack this paint job. Instead of being overwhelmed with the work I still need to do, I just work without thinking ahead.

The hood will be painted original blue color. I don't need the hood, it is just practice. Once I am done with it, I will list it up for sale or trade for a WRX hood with scoop.
