Well, I had a choice.. Spend $180 for new headlights or put in 10 hours of work sanding down the lens by hand from the 185,000 miles 12 years of use and abuse.

I decided to go with 10 hours of work(my right hand hates me).. Couple of times I questioned myself if in-fact I can bring these headlights back. Well, I did and I am happy how they came out. I would give them a 8.5/10. At the same time I painted the housings black, used engine block high temp paint.

The steps I took to bring them back:
    - Wet sand 400
    - Wet sand 600
    - Wet sand 800
    - Wet sand 1000
    - Wet sand 2000
    - 3M Rubbing Compound
    - Meguiar's Plastx
    - Home made clear coat/uv protection solution

Damn. Lights look great pav. Did you have to heat them for the lens to come off?

Well, I finally know what will go into the Impreza. Bought a 2005 STI with 49k miles. Will be swapping everything over. Engine, transmission, wiring, heater, interior, suspension, brakes, fuel tank, etc. Should be a fun winter.

    Thanks!

Did about 10 hours or work today. Sanding the car and fixing all the dents I can find. Got some ideas in my head, may repaint the whole car Alpine White. Not a cheap repaint, door jams, under the hood, trunk, etc.

To many options! To much work! I am learning a lot.

White with gold or dark bronze?

    I meant wrap the car.

And go with bronze. More contrast than the bright gold.

And if you can make it look like the white one above with the bronze wheels, you'd be crazy to sell it!

I doubt you're going to talk him out of selling it. He'll feel it understeer and be totally over it.
