Yea that's really all I'd meed to do the rears aren't ever really stressed. People do change them to the aluminum calipers from the tt's but they only lighter

If you had brake fade, it would be best to get some better pads and higher temperature brake fluid. They are the main cause of brake fade. I had some brake fade on my M3 with ZCP brakes. Had to order better pads which made a huge difference.

Naw its just the calipers. They were good for normal driving but they were built for a car 700 pounds less than the s4. So most every s4-s6 owner upgrades to these and it cures the problem.I've just been putting it off fir some reason XP

Well the S4 blew a head gasket last night on a drive with Cam,Gabe,James, and Keven while we were heading back from the parkway. So I had to leave it at a lookout over the night and pick it up this morning and have it hauled to my shop. Heres what I did today after I got to the shop.

the intake was pretty dirty and had a good bit of carbon build up in the runners

So got the head pulled and just like I thought the number one cylinder was leaking

for having over 300k miles and run hard the cylinder walls are in great shape

Update: I've been working on it for a few things. I've sent the head off to have it cleaned and resurfaced, should be back in a week.

took the cams and valves out and started cleaning things to freshen up the engine a bit.

Matched all the ports to the gaskets and so on and so forth

Going with the the bigger turbo when it goes back together. Going with a triple-K K26 instead of a K24.

Painted the valve cover and I think it looks pretty badass

The k26 / 27's each move the peak boost up the rev range almost 1k rpm. Your lightweight flywheel will offset this some as you will rev much faster, but still the threshold of boost, and the peak of boost will but be further up in teh rev range. Volumetric efficiency -n- all that

lol yea but I mean a few more rpm is nothing much really, I mean if it kicked in around 5k rpm I would be out of luck but I think it'll make peak boost at 2.6-3.2k rpm
